| 内容記述 | This paper is concerned with the effective correction of students' speech drafts. Japanese students are not familiar not only with the speech performance in English but also with speech writing. This paper exposes the difficulties in speech writing in English for Japanese students, and in the way they develop their opinions. The author considers that the difficulities in speech writing for students come from the interference of Japanese (L1), that is "cultural conflict". Through the correction of students' speech drafts, the causes of the difficulities students confront will be apparent. As a result of that, the author will propose the way to help students to resolve their problems in speech writing. In addition, it is great help for students to know the techniques of paragraph writing. In this paper the application of the paragraph writing for speech writing will be considered. When Japanese students develop their opinion in English, they must consider it from the viewpoint of cultural interpretation. Therefore this paper also refers to the cultural differences between English and Japanese. | |||||||||||
